A growing number of children in Lebanon see no better future ahead. In 2024, 34% of children believed their lives would be worse one year from now. For refugee children who have known nothing but displacement and crisis, this sense of despair is especially deep. When children lose hope, they lose the drive to learn, to dream, and to engage. Protecting childhood means protecting a child’s right to hope.
